    We decided to bring the seaside to Chesterfield during the hot weather! The children stayed safe, hydrated and wonderfully cool at our very own pop-up beach. From cooling down their toes in paddling pools and munching on ice pops, to dancing along to beach tunes and playing bubbles and beach games, a fantastic (and refreshing!) time was had by all!

    We celebrated our love of reading today at our Reading Fiesta! As well as extra stories in class, there was a bookmark design competition and the chance to share our favourite stories with children in a different year group.

    Year 6 have officially arrived for their residential trip. We have a jam-packed itinerary full of team-building, outdoor adventures and evening activities. We can't wait to see our students push their boundaries and make the absolute most of this trip.

    Our mini marathon was a huge success! After a whole-school warm-up, children ran their marathons around our heart line to music and bubbles to raise money for our school playground. Well done to all who took part!

    To celebrate National Numeracy Day, we took part in a live Times Tables Rock Stars national game of ‘Would You Rather’ for primary schools, exploring savvy spending and how we make money choices in our families and communities. Year 5 children explored how numeracy is used in real life by setting up and running their very own shop!
