Year 3 visit to Natural History Museum

Year 3 pupils enjoyed an enriching and memorable educational visit to the fantastic Natural History Museum.

Their journey of discovery focused on understanding volcanoes and earthquakes, providing a fantastic complement to their learning in the classroom. The children were captivated by the exhibits, but the undeniable favourite was the realistic earthquake simulation. This unique experience allowed them to feel the ground shake beneath their feet, providing a real insight into the immense power of an earthquake. The visit was a brilliant way to deepen their scientific understanding and spark their curiosity about our planet.

Back at school, Year 3 enjoyed taking part in a live online workshop with the Natural History Museum, where they further developed their understanding of tectonic plates and volcanic eruptions.
