We celebrated our Harvest Festival this year by focusing on gratitude and giving back to our local community. Our Harvest celebration began with a special visit from Kerry from the North Enfield Food Bank. Kerry led a thought-provoking assembly, teaching our pupils all about the vital work food banks do and why they are so essential in helping local families. Following this, we held our own school food bank collection, inviting all families to contribute canned goods, packet foods, and toiletries. We were absolutely overwhelmed by the response! Your generosity was astounding, allowing us to collect an incredible six large boxes of much-needed items. A massive thank you to everyone who donated so kindly.
To round off our celebration, we welcomed Father Stephen from the Church of SS Peter and Paul for a special Harvest assembly. He spoke about the traditions and true meaning behind the Harvest Festival—thankfulness for food and sharing with others.
Later that same day, Kerry returned to collect the wonderful mountain of donations, with the help of our fantastic Head Students. We are so proud of our school community for showing such kindness.
